Available Positions: Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities A senior software engineer with a broad range of experience including microcontroller software development, communications software development (TCP/IP), and other applications, real-time and systems software development. Future development will include processing 3D data sets and point clouds in order to reconstruct 3D surfaces. This person will to be a key member of technical staff responsible for creating product software for an FDA approved device.
Requirements Expert knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, C++, C#. Multi-core, parallel process, multi-threaded programming, and SSE optimizations. Real-time, near real-time programming experience. Good software practices knowledge and experience from specification, design, implementation, to test and verification and validation.
Preferences Medical device development experience within FDA 510K environment.
Senior Optical-Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities This position which will focus primarily on managing the test and integration opto-mechanics lab for developing and testing our 3D imaging system. Will provide analysis of the problems and risks for opto-mechanical assembly, and will provide solutions to achieve successful results. Will be responsible for developing lab procedures and protocols for inspection, assembly, and system testing. Will provide required inputs to support FDA 510(k) submissions, foreign licensing, and all regulatory based objectives. Will provide the required process documentation for the Design History Files and oversee the process hand-off to manufacturing.
Requirements An experienced hands-on Optical-Mechanical Engineer with expertise in integrating complex optical systems for medical devices, and in formalizing lab test and assembly procedures. Experience in a product development environment moving a design from development into manufacture. Sound computer skills demonstrating a firm knowledge of ZEMAX, MatLab, and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
Preferences Master of Science degree in Optics or Mechanical Engineering. Medical device development experience within FDA 510K environment. A minimum of ten years experience.
Software Engineer Responsibilities A software engineer with knowledge pertaining to interfacing devices, data transfer and storage, pipelined processing, processing 3D data sets, and test software. This person will be responsible for testing product software for an FDA approved device. Will also be responsible for coordinating the evaluation of data files and transfers over the internet.
Requirements Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, C++, C#. Good software practices knowledge and experience from specification, design, implementation, to test and verification and validation. BS/MS in Computer Science with 5+ years experi

Senior Software Test Engineer Responsibilities Performs software functional unit, integration, and system level testing for graphical user interface, 3D image visualization, data processing algorithms, APIs, and data transfer of large files over the internet. Writes and documents utility programs used in software build and testing. Participates in design reviews with software and hardware cross-functional teams.
Requirements Strong background in C++/C# coding who loves to test and troubleshoot medical device software currently in development. Knowledge pertaining to interfacing devices, data transfer and storage, pipelined processing, processing 3D data sets, and algorithms. Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio (VS2010 preferred), C++, C#, Perl. Good software practices knowledge and experience from specification, design, implementation, to test and verification and validation. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical discipline with 5+ years of experience.
Preferences Medical device development experience within FDA 510K environment. Experience with testing microcontroller code a plus. Small company or start-up experience very helpful.
Senior Technical Writer Responsibilities Lead Technical Writer to develop the product documentation and user’s guides for DPI’s three-dimensional (3D) measurement system. Responsible for assembling the detailed information to include in technical documents from design specifications, software documents, mechanical drawings, and engineer interviews. Present work for peer review.
Requirements BS degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) plus five or more years of relevant experience. Experience working in engineering and product development environments. Experience with documentation of medical or dental products. Requires excellent communication skills.
Preferences Experience in 3D metrology or 3D machine vision (e.g. triangulation, laser radar, structured light, precision engineering). Familiarity with calibrating measurement systems to high levels of accuracy. Effective communications with engineers, customer and end users for training and trouble-shooting. Proven success in and passion for emerging growth companies.
Principal Systems Engineer Responsibilities Key member of the DPI team focused on optimizing DPI’s technology for a range of dental applications. The individual will primarily be responsible for system optimization [, calibration], and data analysis. The individual will be involved in analysis of technology prototypes and data captured during in vivo testing and trials. There will be interaction with parties outside DPI (sister companies and commercial partners) to evaluate data fit and compatibility.
Requirements 8+ years of experience as senior software or systems engineer in product development based on opto-mechanical, electro-optical or imaging technologies, with a heavy emphasize on understanding cause and effect relationships in hardware and software optimization. Experience working with advanced algorithms using MATLAB and C++. Advanced degree in mathematics, computer science or closely related field. Proven record of being a team player. A professional demeanor and an understanding of commercial considerations are required for interaction with outside parties.
Preferences Experience in the dental field. Experience with CAD software such as Geomagic. Medical device development experience within FDA 510(k) environment.
