Management Olaf N. Krohg, Chairman of the Board of Directors & Chief Executive Officer Bob Dillon, Senior Technology Advisor Tim Fillion, Director of Engineering Management Olaf N. Krohg, Chairman & CEO Mr. Krohg co-founded Dimensional Photonics International, Inc. (DPI) in 2004 to acquire the assets of a predecessor company. Prior to establishing DPI, Mr. Krohg spent more than a decade as a venture capital and private equity investor. His investment activities spanned early stage technology companies, development capital for growth-stage companies and leveraged buyouts of mature businesses in Europe and the U.S. He was a Partner at Advent International, a leading global private equity firm. Prior to his role as investor in private companies, Mr. Krohg was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in Scandinavia and an investment banker with Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York City. Mr. Krohg earned a BS from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Bob Dillon, Senior Technology Leader Mr. Dillon is a co-founder of DPI. He joined the company in a full-time capacity in 2008 as its key technology leader to develop advanced imaging products for dentistry, medicine and life sciences. Prior to joining DPI full-time, Mr. Dillon served for fifteen years as founder and CEO of Lumen Laboratories, Inc., a developer of advanced electro-optics products for markets including analytic instrumentation, medical imaging, spectroscopy, precision metrology and laser based imaging. His earlier career included technology leadership roles at three other Boston-area firms including Adaptive Optics Associates, Optron Systems and SPARTA, Inc. Bob graduated from MIT in 1982 with an electrical engineering degree and holds many patents for his work.
Timothy Fillion, Director of Engineering Mr. Fillion joined DPI in 2008 and has led the engineering team in the development of the intra-oral imaging system. He brings 24 years experience in directing the successful development of high precision products based on laser and X-ray technologies. Most recently, Mr. Fillion spent five years as Director of Engineering at Virtek Laser Systems (Toronto, Canada) developing laser based processing equipment and two years at Micronic Laser Systems (Stockholm, Sweden) bringing the Sigma Laser Lithography system from R&D to market. Previously, Mr. Fillion has held the position of Vice President of Engineering for AS&E, a cofounder and VP of Engineering for Ablation Science, and Product Line Manager at General Scanning. Mr. Fillion has a BS in Physics from the University of Massachusetts and an MS in Business Management from Lesley College.
